Thickbox - One box to rule them all

Cody Lindley has done the world yet another favor and expanded an already great UI enhancement.

This is a great tool for displaying content like images and other HTML elements that you would traditionally use a pop-up for.

Great work, Cody!

Secrets of Entrepreneurship: Embrace Insanity

I am of the firm conviction that the most impacting ideas in life are initially met with statements like:

"You obviously don't believe anyone will want to do that do you?"

"You're crazy."

"There's no way."

For most people, these phrases would leave them running to their rooms, jumping on their bed, throwing the covers over themselves, rolling into fetal position, and rocking themselves while mumbling comforting words.

For an entrepreneur these are good words. Yep. You heard me right. Good Words. When you hear these words, think FIRST MOVER!!!!

I should note of course that I am presuming that you have a good idea to start, that you've run the numbers, that you have a strong conviction that the market will yield the results. If that is the case, then don't worry about nay-sayers. They are stuck in the market they are because they either lack the vision, or the motivation to step outside of their comfort zone.

So why insanity? Because the insane live in a world outside of current reality. Quite honestly I rather enjoy those insane people that I know. My conversations with them are stimulaing at very least. They have no reservations about stating their convictions, motivations, and the clear reasons why nobody has figured out what they have. We should all be so diligent.

So don't be afraid of those who find you just a bit insane. After all, the line between insanity and genius is a thin line at best. In my opinion the great idea people are those who dangle one foot over the ledge of insanity while keeping the other planted firmly on the ground of pragmitism.
