Online Diagramming Application

For those of you who spend a great deal of time creating flow charts and diagramming ideas, like myself, I stumbled upon a nice web based application called Gliffy.

I like the idea of keeping my applications online. Having a browsers based application means that everyone you work with can work with and edit the document you've created.

Compliments Are Free

There are simply not enough compliments in this world, nor people who extend them. Our modern world has so quickly become inundated with commercial merchandising and marketing screaming at people what they lack and are missing out on. We either are not wearing the right designer label, or have made the mistake of driving the wrong car.

Rather than give into all of that, rather than becoming yet another source of discouragement to those around us, why not try a compliment. Find three people to compliment today. Make one of them your worst enemy, one of them your partner, or closest friend and the other a complete stranger.

Make it more than just a compliment, you have to make it specific. Really look at the person you are talking to. Consider what is important to them. Are they a detailed oriented person? Then compliment them on how much you apprciated their detail and specifics on some project. Are they a fashion driven person? Then compliment them on the color of their shoes. Even if you have no clue what the difference is between penny-loafers and flip-flops, they will appreciate it. It's about noticing and making someone feel good about themselves.

And believe me...you'll be surprised just how good it will make you feel to interrupt someone's life with kindness. And it's doesn't cost you a blessed penny.
